All of our Group Training is done in a small group environment (others would call it “Small Group Personal Training”) and caters to ALL fitness levels. All sessions are highly varied to keep you fit & challenged in as many ways as possible.  Our trainers DON’T stand up the front barking instructions. You will find us walking around, continually adjusting the exercises to suit your ability and needs and working with you to correct your technique.

Some sessions include normal “gym” type equipment, while others utilise more functional gear like tyres, sledgehammers, rings, monkey-bars, kettlebells, deadballs; and others focus on bodyweight only training. All styles are designed to give maximum return for your efforts.  In keeping with Fit Connections’ philosophy, all of our training is focused on YOU and improving your HEALTH and fitness, which will help you look your best too; rather than purely being focused on how you look, using methods which can be detrimental to your health.

Fit Connections is proud to work alongside the world-wide FitRanX ranking system, to provide fitness goals and motivation. We love FitRanX because it offers something for all Fitness Levels as well as different age groups. FitRanX overlays the structure of our group training, to ensure everyone gets FitRanX fit, as well as working towards any other personal goals you may have. And FitRanX Level Testing is utilised to provide a bench-mark for each individual’s current fitness level.

Functional Fit Indoor Group Training

The focus of this training is to work your whole body, rather than isolate small muscle groups & to improve your body’s functionality for everyday life and exercise. We pride ourselves on continual variety, meaning that your body is continually challenged & does not plateau in it’s fitness progression.  Functional Fit Training improves your strength, mobility and cardiovascular fitness, rather than just focusing on one aspect. Some sessions work completely with bodyweight exercises,  but training in our warehouse allows the use of a wide range of equipment in other workouts.

Raw Strength Group Training

Raw Strength is indoor group training with focused on working with moving heavier weights & equipment; or with more difficult bodyweight exercise progressions, to improve your strength. In general the speed of the session is slowed down, the number of repetitions is reduced & time is taken to focus on technique and attempt to push yourself just that little bit further with strength moves, keeping safety at the forefront. Raw Strength is not only suitable for ALL fitness levels but is even more important for those starting their fitness regime, to learn your limits and to ensure technique is correct, in a very controlled environment. And for those who are already fit, it is the perfect opportunity to push those limits, try new progressions to move up to the next level, and continually improve technique. Raw Strength is purely designed to focus on strength improvements.

Pilates Fit Group Training

Pilates provides a holistic approach to developing strength, flexibility and mental & physical well-being. The fundamental emphasis is on building endurance in the core stabilising muscles, activating these before engaging other muscles to increase muscle effectiveness, reduce injury and improve posture.  It is NOT about stretching, but more about strengthening muscles while elongating them, with a heavy emphasis on core strength. Pilates is a perfect complement to our other training types, with these techniques able to be fully implemented during all types of strength, functional and cardiovascular fitness.

Baseline Fitness

Baseline Fitness is scheduled periodically, designed to take participants through a set range of fitness activities to assess their current fitness levels. We call this “Baseline” allows you to find your current baseline for fitness so that you can compare your own results at a later date to check your individual progress. The focus in on tracking your own progress, rather than on “Testing” to check your results against other members or the general progress. We don’t care where you are compared to others, just on how much you are continually improving yourself!
